God’s Anointing For Favor
SUCCESSOINT
So believe me when I tell you that if you are facing hardships, financial reversal, or losses in any area of your life, I know what you’re going through. And I know the Lord will do the same for you! His favor is not just for evangelists and preachers. Your time for the anointing of God’s favor has come! It is a principle that will work for you.
Here’s how.
The Word of God tells us clearly that there are seven manifestations of the anointing:
#1 Preaching
#2 Teaching
#3 Healing
#4 Deliverance from bondage
#5 Prophetic
#6 Praise and worship
#7 Favor
The one I want to emphasize in this special letter is the last one, the anointing for favor.
God’s Anointing for Favor Throughout History
Throughout Bible times and continuing today, every stream of the anointing for favor is activated by faith!
It was that anointing of favor in the Old Testament that caused Abram, later called Abraham, to prosper wherever he went, even as he obeyed God’s voice and left his homeland to journey into the land of Canaan with at least 400 people who worked for him (Genesis 12). How was that possible? It was God’s favor!
His son Isaac was blessed when he sowed seed even in the midst of a great famine. The harvest was so great that even the Philistine king, Abimelech, envied him (Genesis 26). People all around Isaac remained ruined by the drought, yet he was anointed with God’s favor! Even in times of disaster, God’s favor works for you, a believer, but not for your unbelieving neighbor.
What caused Pharaoh’s blessing and trust in an unknown young man named Joseph (Genesis 41) to the point that the imprisoned Hebrew was suddenly promoted to second-in-command over all Egypt?
Only God’s anointing of favor can cause that!
Generations later, why would another pharaoh give favor to Israel one fateful night when it was impossible to be favored? The Egyptians had been devastated by plagues, famine, and the loss of their firstborn male children. Who would ever imagine that the Israelites, coming to those decimated Egyptian homes in the middle of the night and asking for gifts, would be given so much that they left Egypt “spoiled” (meaning the land was stripped of its most valuable possessions and assets)?
The children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians. (Exodus 12:35-36)
The wealth of Egypt was literally poured out on the Israelites, and all their needs were met because of the incredible power of the favor anointing.
We know that the journey from Egypt to the Promised Land should have taken 11 days, but because of a lack of trust and faith, it ended up taking 40 years. But even then, God made sure the children of Israel were cared for, not only keeping their clothing and shoes from wearing out (Deuteronomy 29:5), but keeping their livestock, numbering in the millions, well-fed and cared for.
How was that possible? Millions of their cattle, sheep, and other livestock wandered through the desert and received water and food, yet the Israelites didn’t own any water rights or grow any crops. The Israelites obviously left Egypt with so much spoil that their provisions lasted the entire 40 years!
Only the favor of God could do that, and that is the anointing I’m talking about!
It was that anointing that sustained Job, even when he lost virtually everything through unspeakable reversals and tragedies. In the end, however, the anointing for favor caused the Lord to bless Job’s obedience and faith with “twice as much as he had before” (Job 42:10).
David, though his enemies tried to destroy him, fought against the Amalekites at Ziklag and recovered all—with so much spoil that he even sent gifts to all the thousands of elders of Judah. These weren’t small tokens; they were substantial gifts delivered to each one (1 Samuel 30).
And it was that anointing for favor on the life of Solomon that caused the world to honor him with gold, silver, and jewels beyond description (2 Chronicles 1-10)!
That anointing continued into New Testament times. Favor was clearly evident upon Jesus Christ and the apostles. It was this same anointing that we read about when Peter preached to the church to go sell their land and properties and bring the money to the church:
All that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. (Acts 2:44-47)
What would move thousands of people to listen to Peter, then become believers and givers? Only the anointing for favor could do that.
Moses talked about the anointing for favor in relation to biblical abundance: “All these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field” (Deuteronomy 28:2-3).
And it was also that anointing for favor mentioned in verse 12: “The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand.”
Only the anointing for favor can accomplish these things for a nation, a family, or an individual!
Activating God’s Anointing for Favor
Notice this: Throughout Scripture, the anointing for favor was activated by faith. Favor is a gift of God to His people, and it is only given to the obedient—those who are givers.
All the people and groups I’ve mentioned were givers. Abraham gave to Melchizedek, and even greater favor was released on him. Favor was released on Isaac when he gave God an offering. Favor was released on the nation of Israel when they offered a lamb in every household.
Jesus spoke often about giving, and the anointing for favor was upon the apostles, as our Lord Jesus taught:
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:38)
Notice the reference to “men give into your bosom.” In Scripture, the reference to bosom refers to a “place of comfort,” so that literally means that men (the people and circumstances that surround you) will give and add blessings that pertain to the peace and comfort of your own life and that of your family.
So why would a man give you anything unless God had placed an anointing on your life?
It is the power of that blessed anointing!
Dear partner, I believe this anointing belongs to you as a child of God! It is your covenant right to have it every day. But it’s the act of giving that releases the treasures of heaven on your life and triggers the anointing for God’s favor and blessing.
If you want favor on your home, your job, your family situations, even opportunities and inheritances that will arise in 2014, you must begin planting now. Harvest and favor always follow seed-time. Without planting, there is no harvest!
A spiritual miracle demands a spiritual act, while a physical miracle demands a physical act, and a financial miracle demands a financial act.
When someone is saved they must confess Christ publicly. When someone is healed, they must step out in faith. And you cannot prosper financially unless you act in faith as you give to God’s work. That is how the anointing for favor is released.
That is the order of Scripture. It is impossible to prosper under the anointing without an act of faith, and it is impossible without an act of faith occurring and reoccurring continually in your life.
Miracles happen when we give God something to work with. And when we sow seed into His kingdom, we release our faith so God can use what we give for His glory and the favor He gives!
I truly believe that 2014 will be a year when we see a powerful anointing for favor among believers who understand this principle and act on it.
So today, I feel strongly in my spirit that I need to do something for you that you must experience. I am providing a special prayer form on which you can list your most urgent needs for me to pray over.
Remember, every stream of favor is released by faith!
The Day of Prayer for God’s Anointing of Favor
My heart is truly exploding with faith for you, and in late December I will pray for your most urgent needs, especially your financial ones, during the Day of Prayer for God’s Anointing of Favor. It will be a powerful, anointed time of intercession!
