Scripture: Exodus 17: 8-16:
My Bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. God has put His faith into your heart. Now Jesus is ready to do a miracle for your life. Something good is going to happen to you. Claim the victory! Claim the blessing! The Spirit of the Lord will work for you!
When Jesus Christ was here on earth, He preached, He taught, and He healed. Today, Jesus will heal you. He will heal your mind, your body, and your life.
When Moses was leading the Israelites to the land of Canaan, they came to a place called Rephidim. Then suddenly the enemy, the Amalekites, came and attacked them. The Amalekites were well-armed, well-trained, well-fed, and they were strong. But Israel was not well-armed or well-fed. They were very weak and Israel was in great danger.
Then Moses asked Joshua to go out with military power. Moses asked Joshua to defend Israel. While Joshua was on the battlefield, Moses ran up on the hill. He looked down on the battlefield, and he lifted up his hands, and he began to pray to the Lord. When the power of God came upon Joshua and his military power, they began to overcome the Amalekites. When Moses got tired and lowered his hands, the power of the Lord stopped, and the Amalekites gained strength and began to attack Israel again.
So Aaron and Hur went to Moses and held up Moses' hands until the going down of the sun. Moses kept praying, and God's power was falling down upon Israel continually, and Joshua completely smote the Amalekites.
We are living in 20th century -we are Spiritual Israel. We are marching to the heavenly land of Canaan, but the Amalekites are attacking you. The Amalekites are attacking your home and your nation. You are in the place of Moses and Joshua. You can defeat Amalekites through prayer and resistance.
Jesus came 2000 years ago. He went up on the cross, and he made battle against the Amalekites. He defeated the spiritual Amalekites-the power of the enemy. He disarmed the spiritual Amalekites.
What are these spiritual Amalekites?
Sin is a spiritual Amalekite. Hatred is a spiritual Amalekites. Sickness and disease are spiritual Amalekites. Poverty and the curse are spiritual Amalekites. Death and hell are spiritual Amalekites.
Since Adam and Eve, these Amalekites have attacked human beings. These Amalekites have attacked you. The Amalekites of sin, hatred, sickness, disease, poverty, the curse, death, and hell are attacking you. But praise the Lord, 2000 years ago Jesus defeated the Amalekites!
Jesus disarmed the Amalekites ! Now, Jesus is commanding us, "You pray like Moses. You attack like Joshua and the Amalekites will flee from you."
We should attack the Amalekite of sin:
Sin comes to rob you, kill you, and destroy you. But when you pray to the Lord, the Blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse you and make you righteous. So like Moses, you lift up your hand. Pray to God to cleanse you by the blood, and like Joshua, attack the sin. When sin comes to you say to the sin, "You sin, in the Name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke you." Resist the sin. Sin shall flee.
We must attack the Amalekite of hatred:
Hatred comes into our lives, divides our families, and destroys our churches. Jesus destroyed hatred on the cross. Jesus released love through the Holy Spirit. Jesus is pouring out His love through the Holy Spirit to you. So like Moses, we should pray to Jesus, "Jesus, put love into my heart, and in our church." And like Joshua, attack the hatred. When hatred comes to you, you look to the hatred and say, " You hatred, you are a defeated enemy. You have nothing to do with me. Get out of my heart. Get out of my family. Get out of my church." You are going to prevail.
Sickness and disease Amalekites attack us:
People are sick mentally and are suffering from physical sickness and disease. But 2000 years ago, Jesus defeated sickness on the cross. My Bible says, "He took away our infirmities, and by His stripes you were healed."
Legally, you have been healed since 2000 years ago, so pray like Moses, "God, touch me and heal me. Release the healing power. Let me be healed." Then like Joshua, attack the sickness and disease, "You sickness and disease, in the Name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke you. I command you to go, and sickness shall, flee." Sickness shall flee from your mind and your physical body.
When I was 17 years old, I was dying from tuberculosis. The doctor told me that I would live three to six months. I was born and raised a Buddhist. I prayed to my god, but nothing happened.
Every moment I was dying. A schoolgirl came to my home. She told me about Jesus Christ, and I found Jesus as Savior!
I found Jesus as my Healer! Like Moses, I prayed to God. "God, come and heal me. Then I will become Thy servant. I'll go around the world. I will testify about the living Jesus." Then like Joshua, I fought against the sickness. I said, "You tuberculosis, get out of my lungs. I rebuke you, go!" Then sickness fled. I was healed! Since that time until now, I've been going around the world. I've been testifying about this living Jesus.
My Bible says," Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever." My Bible says," Whenever two or three are gathered together in Jesus' Name, Jesus shall be among them," … and us, too! So we are praying to God to heal us right now. Like Moses, we look to the throne. We are asking God to release the healing power. Like Joshua, we are fighting against sickness and disease, and we are not going to accept it. The Amalekites of sickness and disease are going to flee! You are going to be healed. Never be discouraged. Don't be afraid of the Amalekites of sickness and disease, because you are a conqueror in Jesus Christ. The Amalekites of sickness and disease are defeated enemies. Pray like Moses. Fight like Joshua. You are going to overcome! You are going to prevail!
The Amalekites of poverty and the curse are attacking us:
Receive the truth! Accept that you are a blessed people!
So we should pray like Moses, "God, I've been delivered from the curse and poverty. Father, I'm a blessed person. Open the door of heaven and pour out thy blessing. " And like Joshua, you should attack the poverty and the curse. You should say, " Curse and poverty, leave me. I am more than a conqueror I n Jesus Christ!" Hallelujah!
Brothers and sisters, I know what poverty means. I was born and raised during the Japanese occupation of Japan. Japanese military power came into every home life. Then when we were liberated by America, Korea fell into the Korean war, and the war destroyed everything. We were refugees living from hand to mouth, digging ditches to find something to eat. We were desperate. We had no food, clothes, or place to look to. Then Jesus came into our lives!
Revival came to Korea, and we prayed to Jesus. In the early morning we prayed. During the daytime we prayed. We had all-night prayer meetings. We went to Prayer Mountain to pray, and we took Jesus as our Resource of life. God performed a miracle. Year after year God blessed with a bountiful crop and blessed our country with industry. From out of poverty, Jesus raised us. We now have abundance, because Jesus came to our hearts, because Jesus came to Korea.
The Amalekites of hell and death attack us:
We are afraid of death, and we have fear in our hearts about death. But Jesus Christ defeated death! He died and was buried, but He was resurrected on the third day; defeating death and hell. So the Amalekites of death and hell are defeated. So we should pray like Moses; "God, pour out peace, abundant blessing, and assurance in our hearts." We should fight like Joshua, "Fear of death, I rebuke you! You fear of hell, I rebuke you!" The fear of death will flee from you. You shall have peace and joy.
The Amalekites come like a flood, but Jesus will lift up the flood of the Holy Spirit to help you. The Holy you and within you. Jesus said He would never leave you as an orphan. Jesus said, "I will pray to will send the Holy Spirit to you." He is with and within you right now. ?
He is upon you right now. Recognize the Holy Spirit. We welcome and praise the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit brings the love of God to your hearts. The Holy Spirit brings the grace of Jesus to you now. Just as Moses and Joshua overcame the Amalekites, you are going to overcome the Amalekites in your life. You will overcome sin, hatred, sickness, disease, the curse, and hell. The Amalekites have been defeated. Jesus defeated them! They are disarmed and you are more than conquerors in Jesus! So you should rise up and march on. Our land of Canaan is on Mount the cross of Jesus Christ. He has prepared the land of Canaan for you. Milk and honey
are flowing there. Through Jesus, you are more than conquerors.
Through Jesus, you have conquered hatred, sickness, poverty, the curse, death, and hell. Jesus is our Lord! Jesus is our Savior! Jesus is our Healer! Jesus is our Provider! Jesus is our Resurrection and Life! He loves you. He is with you, and He is reaching out His hand to you. He is inviting you, "Come unto Me all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
